Nurse Says “I Love It Everyday” When Asked About Working In A Pandemic And I’m Calling Bullshit
A story out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana talking about nurses working during a pandemic has produced one of the most bullshit quotes I’ve ever heard from a nurse. “I love it everyday”. Really? What exactly do you love about working in a pandemic? The shitty pay, long hours, PPE shortages, short-staffing, and people dying?
Now I know I’m being a little dramatic but I really hate when nurses try to pump up our profession into something it isn’t. Is nursing a solid career path with decent pay and sense of accomplishment. Absolutely. But are there days were I absolutely fucking hate everything about it? 100%.
I’m honestly happy that this nurse has been having a fantastic year and is loving everything about being a nurse. Seriously, good for them to be that happy with their decision to become a nurse. Meanwhile, the rest of us living in the real world are just hoping that things can get back to normal soon. And by that I mean we can go to the bars on our days off and not have to make a reservation 2 weeks out.
